Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Customer service: Greet and assist guests, answering questions about skating sessions, rentals, and other rink programs and activities.
• Skate Rental: Manage the skate rental process, including fitting skates, checking in and out equipment, and ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of rental skates.
• Safety Monitoring: Monitor the ice surface to ensure safe skating conditions, report any hazards, and assist with crowd control.
• Facility Maintenance: Help with the cleaning and maintenance of the rink area, including the lobby, restrooms, and locker rooms.
• Event Support: Assist in setting up and breaking down for special events, birthday parties, and skating lessons.
• Cash Handling: Process admissions, skate rentals, and concessions accurately, ensuring adherence to cash handling procedures.

Qualifications:

• Ice Rink Operations: Set up and break down rink equipment, including signage, benches, and rental stations. Monitor ice conditions and assist with maintenance tasks, such as ice cleaning and resurfacing, as directed. Ensure safety measures are in place and assist guests in following rink rules and guidelines.
• Skate Rentals and Safety: Manage the skate rental area, including fitting skates and ensuring proper hygiene and maintenance of rental equipment. Conduct safety checks on equipment and report any issues to supervisors.
• Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness in and around the rink. Assist in snow removal and outdoor maintenance tasks as needed.
• Event Support: Help set up for special events, including public skating sessions, themed nights, and group bookings. Support event operations, including managing crowd control and assisting participants.

Responsibilities:

• Performs a variety of skilled tasks in maintaining skating rink facility and its equipment.
• Monitors ice-making equipment, gauges proper temperatures; secures protective barriers; performs other related manual duties assigned necessary to efficient ice skating operations.
• Maintains facility by helping with the cleaning and maintenance of the rink area, including the lobby, restrooms, and locker rooms.
• Operates ice resurfacing machine and manual edger to prepare ice surfaces for skating.
• Enforces rules of rink, maintains security of building during youth activities.
• Oversees skating area during public skating sessions.
• Lock the facility at the end of the shift

Qualifications:

• Ability to work nights & weekends.
• Working knowledge of the use of tools, equipment, and materials commonly employed in work performed.
• Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions involved in work performed.
• Ability to understand and follow oral instructions.
• Ability to deal effectively and courteously with the public.
• Ability to lift 50lbs
