Summer 1 2026 Learn to Skate Semester

Our Learn to Skate USA figure skating group classes are available for students ages 5 to 14, beginners through advanced skaters. Classes begin with the fundamentals and progress to more advanced and specialized skills. Please direct any questions to our skate director, Nicole, at niceskate18@gmail.com.

Structure of Session

The Summer 1 2026 semester begins Tuesday, May 26th and Saturday, May 30th. This is a 30 minute group lesson followed by independent practice ice**. Classes meet once a week (Skaters may choose Tuesday classes or Saturday classes when registering), and classes include skate rental.

**Practice Ice: Skaters may utilize the remaining time following their lesson as optional practice ice, provided they are able to skate independently and without assistance. If a coach determines that a participant is unable to skate without assistance, the skater will not be permitted to stay for practice ice until they are ready to practice independently.

Recommended Enrollment Levels:
New skaters ages 5-6 –> Snowplow 1.
New skaters ages 7-14 interested in figure skating –> Basic 1.
Returning skaters should enroll in the level listed on their most recent Progress Report (included in semester graduation packets).

Aspire 1-4 (5-class semester) will receive a punch card with 5 free Public Skate admissions (includes skate rental).

Present your card at the Front Desk during any Public Skate session to use one of your punches and skate free!! Punches can also be used for Stick and Puck sessions (1 punch per session) or Freestyle sessions (1 punch per 30min Freestyle session).

Use of punch card for Freestyle sessions contingent upon skater taking a regular, weekly private lesson. If skaters exchange their cards for stickers, those stickers will still expire at the end of the semester. **Please note the punch card to Freestyle sticker conversion rate: one punch = 30min Freestyle session.**

For safety reasons, we do not recommend this type of skate. Figure skates should lace up, be supportive and include a proper toepick. Please click here to schedule a figure skate fitting appointment or visit this page for more information.
